NDA Eligibility & Examination Details

  • Age Criteria

To apply for the NDA, candidates must be:

  • Between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age

  • Born not earlier than 2nd July 2006 and not later than 1st July 2009 for NDA 2 (2025)

  • Unmarried male or female candidates only

 

  • NDA Exam Schedule

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam twice a year:

Each cycle includes:

  • Written Test (Mathematics & General Ability Test)

  • SSB Interview (5-day personality and aptitude assessment)

  • Medical Examination

Medical & Physical Requirements
Candidates must meet strict medical standards set by the Armed Forces:
✅ General Health

  • No chronic conditions like epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, or heart issues

  • No minor ailments like piles, tonsillitis, varicocele, or hydrocele
