NDA Eligibility & Examination Details

Age Criteria
To apply for the NDA, candidates must be:

Between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age
-
Born not earlier than 2nd July 2006 and not later than 1st July 2009 for NDA 2 (2025)
-
Unmarried male or female candidates only

NDA Exam Schedule
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam twice a year:

Each cycle includes:

Written Test (Mathematics & General Ability Test)

SSB Interview (5-day personality and aptitude assessment)

Mathematics 2.5 hrs 120 300 -0.83 per wrong answer

GAT Breakdown:
English: 200 marks

General Knowledge: 400 marks (Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Polity, Current Affairs)
Total: 900 marks for written exam + 900 marks for SSB Interview
Medical & Physical Requirements
Candidates must meet strict medical standards set by the Armed Forces:

No chronic conditions like epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, or heart issues

No minor ailments like piles, tonsillitis, varicocele, or hydrocele
