AFCAT Coaching at DNDA

Gateway to Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical)

Program Objective

DNDA’s AFCAT Coaching Program is designed to prepare graduates for officer-level entry into the Indian Air Force via AFCAT. The program covers Written Exam, AFSB Interview, and Medical Fitness, with specialized tracks for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, and Ground Duty (Non-Technical).

 

Training Modules at DNDA

✅ Written Exam Preparation

  • Subject-wise coaching for English, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning & Military Aptitude

  • Daily quizzes, mock tests, and previous year paper analysis

  • Time management drills and accuracy enhancement strategies

  • Bilingual instruction (English & Hindi) with visual aids and smart boards

✅ AFSB Interview Training

  • Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR), PP&DT, TAT, WAT, SRT, SDT modules

  • Group discussions, GTO ground simulations, and mock interviews

  • Personality development and psychological conditioning

  • Interaction with retired Air Force officers and assessors

✅ Physical & Medical Readiness

  • Fitness drills, yoga, and posture correction sessions

  • Medical screening guidance and lifestyle coaching

  • Height-weight calibration and vision standards awareness

  • Flying Branch: 02 Jan 2002 – 01 Jan 2006

  • Ground Duty: 02 Jan 2000 – 01 Jan 2006

 

Medical & Physical Standards

✅ Height Requirements

Relaxation of 5 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, NE candidates

✅ Vision Standards

  • Flying Branch: 6/6 unaided, no color blindness, no LASIK before age 20

  • Ground Duty: Correctable vision allowed, CP-II color vision

✅ Other Medical Criteria

  • No chronic illnesses (asthma, epilepsy, diabetes)

  • Normal ECG, chest X-ray, spine X-ray, and USG abdomen

  • Dental, ENT, and neurological exams mandatory

  • BMI within 18.5–24.9 range

  • Hearing: Must detect forced whisper at 6 meters
